1. Complete
the business license application BUSINESS LICENSE
APPLICATION.pdf; Rental fill out the Business License
Rental Application.pdf
2. If required
register your business with the Utah Department of Commerce, www.utah.gov
3. Copy of
State license, if applicable (contractor, cosmetology, day care, real
estate, etc.)
4. Home
Occupation – fill out a Conditional Use Permit Application for a Home Occupation

Questions regarding the
Conditional Use Permit please call Shauna Kertamus, the Planning and
Zoning Administrator.
5. Comply
with Planning and Zoning Department requirements when applicable
(Conditional Use Permits, Signs)
6. Comply
with Grantsville City Building Department requirements when applicable
(salons, daycare, preschool, remodels, etc)
7. Comply
with Grantsville City Fire Department when applicable (daycare,
preschool, remodel, etc)
8. Obtain a
Health Permit from the Tooele County Health Department, if
applicable.
9. Once all
of the above have been obtained then the business license application
will go forward to the Grantsville City Council to be approved. The
Grantsville City Council has to approve all new business license applications.
It is recommended that the applicant attend the City Council meeting when
the application will be considered. The City Council meets on the first
and third Wednesday of the month unless canceled.

Business
License Renewals: fill out the business license application and mail the
required fee to 429 East Main Street Grantsville, UT 84029. All licenses
are to be renewed by January 31st. After January 31st
the fee doubles.
