The museum was built in 1861. It has been used for several different purposes throughout the years. It has been a school, meeting center, church, city hall, and currently the Donner-Reed museum. It is an integral part of our history.
The Donner-Reed museum has visitors from all over the world. This museum is listed in the National Park Service - National Trail System Book. It is one of only two sites in Utah where you can get a "Passport to Your National Parks" passport book stamped. It is also part of the National Historic Trails Auto Tour route.
