UDOT has sent us the following information on Hwy 112 (road from Grantsville to Tooele).
S.R. 112 PROJECT UPDATE
Phase 1 of the paving work is now complete on S.R.112. Crews are on track to install rumble strips along certain sections of the roadway this week. Installation of an ADA ramp at the 600 W./S.R. 112 intersection is scheduled to occur this week. Drivers can expect minor traffic impacts at this intersection during the work.

Starting on Monday, August 16, crews are scheduled to start Phase 2 of the paving work by laying a final coating on the new asphalt. Work will begin at the S.R. 112/S.R. 138 intersection and continue southeast. The duration of Phase 2 paving operations will be much shorter than Phase 1. Paving for Phase 2 is anticipated to take approximately two weeks.

***During this time, the speed limit will be reduced to 40 mph in the construction zone. Drivers are encouraged to reduce their speed and maintain adequate space between themselves and other drivers.***

One-way flagging operations will be in place between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Drivers can continue to expect up to 15-minute delays when traveling through the area. Loose gravel may be present in the construction zone. Area residents and businesses can expect temporary intermittent closures of side streets as paving work passes through the area. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes such as S.R. 138 and S.R. 36.
